Troubleshooting Synchronization
Here is a recommended process for
troubleshooting problems with an offline folders .ost
file. If you get a synchronization error, first see the
support page on running the .ost
integrity check tool.
If that doesn't solve the problem, try
creating a new .ost file and synchronizing it with the server.
If that doesn’t solve the problem, then
try synchronizing each folder one-by-one. If a
particular folder won't sync, try to open the
attachments in the folder. This should force the
server-based anti-virus utility (if you have that
option) to check the attachment. Sometimes the
anti-virus software may interfere with synchronization.
Or if it's not the anti-virus, this method may allow you
to locate the particular item that is corrupted or will
not sync for some unexplained reason.
Finally, if nothing else has worked,
create a new profile for the user and, again, a new .ost
file. |
