If the offline folder file settings button is not available
In order to set up offline access,
normally all you have to do is answer yes when the
wizard asks if you travel with this computer.
However, under certain unusual
circumstances the wizard will not ask that question and
the offline folder file settings button will not be
visible. If that happens to you, there are two
possible explanations.

The NoOST variable in your registry is set
to 1 or 2. See Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q228937. |

You are using Windows 2000 server with
Terminal Services enabled - in which case the
offline access option is disabled in Outlook 2000
(Outlook XP does not have this problem). See
