Macintosh Tips
Exchange Hosting Service is compatible
with Macintosh, and we welcome Mac users. We have a
number of clients who use Macintosh. Although most of
our tech support pages are written for Windows users,
this page will provide some Mac specific instructions.
In order to get the full benefit of
Exchange server functionality, you need to use Outlook
for the Mac, or the new Entourage X with the Exchange
update. You can download the Mac software you need from
Microsoft for free at the following location:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/download/
As an Exchange Server user, you can work
in a Microsoft Exchange Server environment by running
one or more of the following programs: Microsoft
Exchange Update for Entourage X, Microsoft Outlook 2001
for Mac, Microsoft Entourage 2001, Outlook Web Access
(OWA), and Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac
(RDC). To help you decide which program is right for
you, see Macintosh customers working with Exchange servers.
Exchange does support the traditional
Internet email protocols POP3 and SMTP. Details you can
use for that can be found under POP Client Configuration.

The following information is provided
for configuration of Entourage with the Exchange update:
