Our Data Center

One look at Junctionbox's data center and you'll know immediately that you're dealing with professionals. We haven't cut corners on anything: we only invest in top-of-the-line, industrial-grade gear. Our hardware and network infrastructure is built with scalability and reliability in mind. It can't be done any other way if you want to keep pace with the rapid evolution of Internet technology.

Image of ENIAC The dial-in Servers take the incoming data off the phone lines and place it on an Ethernet 100Mbps switched Ethernet sub-network. Our routers then determine whether the data is for our internal servers or for the Internet backbone and switches it appropriately.

Image of ENIAC Data going to or from our servers (junctionbox.net) routes onto a separate redundant Ethernet subnetwork. This switched Ethernet subnetwork runs at 100Mbps for excellent performance. Our main production servers are running Windows Server 2003. These machines are the standard of performance and reliability for commercial Internet suppliers. Supporting these servers are "disk farms" containing multiple 18GB Fast-SCSI drives on multiple SCSI buses. The disk farms receive a daily back-up to a jukebox tape handlers.
