All of Junctionbox’s external connections are provided on
all-digital connections ensuring the highest quality and most
reliable connections available. The only connections that are not
digital
are the analogue lines for the dialup v.92 modems. We have multiple connections to Bell South’s central offices. The Bell South facilities are ring-based dual-homed for redundancy; from the dual power supplies on our terminal equipment (with battery backup), through the backup path capability provided by the ring itself, to the multiple central offices that are simultaneously connected to the ring. With direct terminating in Junctionbox’s equipment room, we have ample, short lead time expansion capacity for all of our network needs, from the ISDN BRI used for dialup through T-1 connectivity to the Internet, should that be required. We also have a connection to Time Warners network our internet traffic.
Junctionbox is a tier-2 provider,
meaning we are one "hop" away from a national backbone.
Junctionbox’s routing infrastructure is built exclusively on Cisco routers. We use full BGP routing for dynamic load balancing. This infrastructure, in conjunction with the fully redundant 100Mbps switched core ensures that we can quickly upgrade our network bandwidth to support any conceivable traffic your site may generate.
For Junctionbox’s dialup users, we deploy industry
standard products, typically USRobotics/3Com modems. Each
of these are V.92 (analog) modems and USRobotics/3Com
Courrier I-Modem ISDN terminal adapters. USRobotics/3Com is far
and away the market leader in supplying high end ISPs with dial in
capability.
At the heart of Junctionbox’s computing center are Windows Server 2003 Servers. Each system is configured with a minimum of 1024MB RAM and disk arrays of multiple 18GB disks, all RAID based. The combination of our experienced system enginering staff and the robust configuration offers significantly more up time than any other area supplier. This means worry-free access and hosting for Junctionbox customers.
